NNGN President Urges Nigerian Youth to Obtain PVCs, Says ‘No PVC, No Voice’

The National President of the Nigeria Next Generation Network (NNGN), Hon. Amb. Abdulsobur A. Adegoke, has called on Nigerian youths to obtain and use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing voter registration and participation as essential responsibilities in strengthening democracy. In a statement titled “Your PVC is Your Power” and dated September 4, 2026, Adegoke argued that meaningful political participation begins with possessing a PVC, urging eligible young Nigerians not to remain on the sidelines of the electoral process. According to him, young people who are qualified to vote but have not registered or collected their PVCs are limiting their ability to influence governance and hold elected leaders accountable. The NNGN President encouraged eligible citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 to register with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), collect any unclaimed PVCs from their respective local government offices, and encourage others to do the same. He maintained that while innovation, entrepreneurship, finance, and vocational development remain critical to Nigeria’s future, sustainable progress also depends on active participation in the country’s democratic process. Adegoke further stressed that advocacy and civic engagement should be matched with electoral participation, noting that voting remains one of the most effective ways citizens can shape public policy and leadership. The statement concluded with a call on Nigerian youths to embrace their civic responsibilities ahead of future elections and ensure their voices are reflected through the ballot.
