OSOGBO, OSUN STATE — The Caretaker Committee of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council (JCC), Osun Axis, has announced the 2026 NANS Osun Axis Convention, with the NUJ Secretariat, Capital Area, Osogbo, Osun State confirmed as the venue.
According to the invitation issued by the Caretaker Committee, delegates and invited student leaders are expected to arrive in Osogbo on Thursday, August 27, 2026, ahead of the convention proper scheduled for Friday, August 28.
Departure is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026.
The convention is expected to bring together Students’ Union Government (SUG) presidents, student leaders and other recognised structures within the Osun student community as the NANS JCC Osun Axis prepares for its transition process.
In the invitation, the Caretaker Committee advised all SUG presidents to liaise with their respective school managements to secure the necessary logistics and other support required for participation in the convention.
The committee described the gathering as an opportunity to work towards making the transition process memorable and orderly.
The convention comes at a significant period for the student movement in Osun State, with stakeholders expected to focus on the future leadership and direction of the NANS JCC Osun Axis.
The Caretaker Committee also wished delegates and participants a safe journey to the convention.
The NUJ Secretariat, Capital Area, Osogbo, will therefore serve as the meeting point for the convention proper on August 28.
